More mildly amusing crap graffiti

Scraping the barrel for mildly amusing/crap graffiti, captured on a mildly useful/crap phone, in and around Cardiff.
This bunch of flowers brightens the place up
Random burnt wall
Unintelligable, shit-related ramble (plus bonus toecap)
More faeces related shenanigans
At least he introduced himself
Knob drawings aren't what they used to be

Bear-man 'Doppelganger' Cassette Release, etc

With the festivities behind us, Bear-man are resuming activity for a new year. 2011 was a very good year for us. We indulged in countless hours of marathon, trance inducing improvisation sessions, released our debut cassette on Phanthomhead Recordings, Performed in a car, a pit, mini-festivals, as well as supporting great bands including, Acid Mothers Temple w/ Nik Turner, Primordial Undermind, Thought Forms, Drum Eyes, etc.
Thanks to everyone who helped, encouraged, appreciated, or attended last year.

For 2012, we have a cassette release with fantastic Canadian label Knife in the Toaster in the works, and are planning more recordings/shows, releases, and other happenings.
Bear-man - Doppelganger is a recycled C40 cassette containing a mix of studio and live tracks.

 1.Doppelganger
2.Body of Laquer and paste
3.Cornucopia
4.Explodes the stomach, slides the tendon, and  fires the sheep's internal organs

Side a - 1.Doppelganger, & 3.Cornucopia, were recorded at Bear-man HQ in Douglas buildings, Cardiff Bay.
2.Body of Laquer and paste, is a live recording of a set played at The Dairy, Pontcanna, Cardiff, 30/10/2011, as part of 'Welcome to your world' an Exhibition by Richard Higlett in which 2/3 of Bear-man played in a pit.
Side b - Explodes the stomach, slides the tendon, and  fires the sheep's internal organs, is an excerpt from a set recorded live by Paul Swann at Buffalo Bar, Cardiff. 24/8/2011.

I cobbled together, cut, stuck, and badly photocopied the imagery on the cassette.
This tape is Ultra-Limited!! Due for release in the near future (more info soon) from Knife in the toaster.
Many thanks to Gabriel Piller

The studio move is very near completion having relocated within Douglas Buildings. Soundproofing is finished, carpeting the walls and ceiling is almost done.
Clinging to a ceiling, wrapped in carpet, on a potentially mentally damaging, but strangely enjoyable carpet glue trip is one hell of an experience.
Next is the studio equipment installation.

Also, check out this great interview from Drinking Horn with our friend Ian Watson.

Bear-man update

Bear-man were gutted to have to cancel on the 26th Nov supporting 'Truckers of Husk' @ Clwb Ifor Bach, due to Phil having an arm injury.
After much physio, arm strapping, and powerball activities we were able to play a 30min set at Dissonance 1, mini-fest @ The Croft, Bristol on 3rd December. Many thanks to Paul and Rich @ Burial Chamber, and everyone involved.

I've just finished the artwork for our next release - Doppelganger cs due to be released sometime soon on Knifeinthetoaster.com. This cassette contains a mix of studio and live tracks recorded this year.

I spotted these Biker-Santas looking curiously glum outside The Croft.

Misc Bear-man stuff

Bear-man will be supporting Truckers of Husk for the launch of their Album, at Clwb Ifor Bach, Cardiff on Saturday 26th November for Shape Records.

We had an enjoyable evening supporting Acid Mothers Temple & the Melting Paraiso UFO, in collaboration with Nik Turner, a Great two hour Psych, Japanese Wizard Freak-out!!
Many thanks to Paul Swann,(Burial Chamber) and Noel Gardener,(Lesson number one) and everyone who turned out on a Monday night in Bridgend. Here's a bad quality photo of Nik Turner mid-improv, and his battered Saxophone.

Bear-man are working on a number of different projects including some interesting collaborations, A Canadian Cassette release, (more details soon) and a possible project providing audio for a short film.
This picture is from Uh-Oh/Psychic Attack, featuring Ian Watson's superb artwork hanging on a kitchen wall
The quality of this person's washing up will vastly improve under the supervision of Bear-man

Bear-man have been shifting to a different studio within Douglas buildings, no more carrying gear upstairs. Finished sound-proofing without serious injury

Here's some more random confused messages, and observations from in and around the city of Cardiff.

Bear-man live @ 'Welcome to your world' Exhibition Preview

Bear-man played a short set at Richard Higlett's 'Welcome to your world' exhibition preview at the Dairy, Pontcanna, as part of g39. Two thirds of Bear-man played in a grave shaped pit, whilst Phil drummed pit-side. Bear-man were ably assisted throughout the set by Nancy providing direction.
Also at the exhibition was a short film of Bear-man playing in the GPS (Gallery of portable sound) circling several traffic roundabouts in allignment with 'The Great Bear' constellation. Below is a short clip of Star#3 on the route. The exhibition runs from 1-15 October
